Inspired by The Beatles song, Don't Let Me Down, I drew a series of portrait illustrations of people I admire. Georgia O'Keefe is one of my all-time favorite artists and one of the first artists I ever felt like I truly understood their work. I feel this rich sense of connection with O'Keefe. I also love that she lived her life the way she wanted to live it. Although married and living in New York, the desert called to her and she heeded that call and did some of her best work up to the end of her life. She truly was an inspiring woman!
